Super friendly service in a old school diner vibe with great priced breakfast. What's not to like. We will be back!

I loved it there and will certainly return. I have told others about the restaurant. The food and service were great and so are the prices. The decor is from a prior time yet clean and not rundown.

What a lovely diner. If you like small town diners, you'll just love this. It's a diner-y diner if you know what I mean. A bit dark, a bit old fashioned, a bit like stepping right into 1971 (in a good way). Adorably decorated for Christmas, charming waiters (we loved Donna), and a friendly owner/chef putting together real down home meals for a good price! Simple fair, cutesy atmosphere. We lovvvvved it, and highly recommend! Also, the hasbrowns were amazing.

Superior Restaurant is the veritable definition of a small town diner experience. 50s eras decor (lots of Elvis) and friendly small town service. I'm not an avid coffee drinker but their coffee was REALLY GOOD! I ordered the Club Sandwich and it was delicious with lots of chicken and bacon. Fries were done perfectly with a crispy coating and soft inside. A side of gravy and cole slaw with pickle completed the meal. Most dishes were priced between 15-20 so very reasonable. Heading back again soon to try their baby beef liver! This is a 'highly recommend' if you're visiting Almonte, Ontario!

Classic diner feel, but a great menu, and the food was an absolute killer. Amazing. And the portions are phenomenal. Decent prices too. Friendly staff in a charming location.

I’m giving this place 5 stars, not because it is the classiest, most high end place, but because it deserves five stars for being exactly what it is. An old mom and pop diner that looks like it probably did the day it opened.I’ve been going to this place since I was a little girl, to enjoy the fries & gravy or maybe a pizza take out.We went here for lunch today and I ordered fries with gravy & a grilled cheese with bacon. The grilled cheese probably could have used another slice of cheese. But it was all delicious. The restaurant was a little cooler, bring a sweater (it’s spring as of this review and no one knows whether to turn heat off or on!)My daughter was given a cute ice cream in the most adorable ice cream cup. The pop comes in a can. It was very affordable for the three of us to eat for lunch. Service was very friendly, but it was oh-so-quiet here, probably due to the construction.I will continue visiting the Supe every time I visit Almonte just for some nostalgic fries & gravy. Would love to try their pizza again too, maybe enjoy a milkshake next time as well.

We had dinner at Superior Restaurant. The food was delicious, perhaps even above the quality of most restaurants in Ottawa. Chicken brochettes were seasoned perfectly. Fish and chips cooked tender and juicy. Prices are more than fair considering the huge portion sizes. Would recommend to anyone making a day trip out to Almont. A
